Attention all Shadow Grovians
As mentioned, Shadow Grove Brewing’s 2nd year anniversary celebration will feature our first Tri Clamp Cup Competition.
What is the Tri Clamp Cup?
Our version of a bomb-ass, brewery specific trophy including many retired and new tri clamp parts that assemble this cup-style trophy.
What is the Tri Clamp Cup Competition?
The Tri Clamp Cup Competition is a 3 day competition between teams of 3 persons each that will earn points over 3 events. Only the top point earning team will have the chance to hoist the cup.
Sign ups:
Sign up for the competition will start on Wednesday the 20th. If you have a team of 3, feel free to pop in to fill out your team card with member names, email addresses and phone numbers.

Events:
Friday the 22nd: Stein Holding
Each team will select their participant in the steinholding. Who do you think has the most endurance? Steins will be our current 23oz mug club glassware filled to the 20oz mark each. Points will be distributed by place in the competition based upon the number of competitors (if there’s 16 competitors, first gets 16pts, 2nd, 15 and so on). US Steinholding Rules Apply.
Saturday the 23rd: Trivia: Harry Potter Edition
Going old-school with the trivia; paper and pen. 3 rounds, 10 questions each. All teams will receive 1 pt per correct answer. Again, Points will be distributed by place in the competition based upon the number of competing teams. No phones, no cheating, we will have a lot of spies in the crowd, any team found cheating will be disqualified from cup contention. Rounds will progress in difficulty. Breaks between rounds.
Sunday the 24th: Triples Darts
You’ve probably seen darts being thrown here, it’s pretty important to us, now is your chance to play. Playing a regular double elimination Chicago-style darts bracket, 3 vs 3. Points will be distributed by place in the competition based upon the number of competing teams.
In Closing:
Ok, so you made a cool trophy that I get to take a picture with…what else?
The top team will receive a Historical Society Mug Club Membership (valued at $150 each) for each of the 3 team members for 2024. Yes, that's big. There are no points for 2nd, get your team together, win.
Additionally, a $20 gift card will be awarded to the winner of each day's competition.
*IF NEEDED: a tie breaker (highly unlikely), will be broken by an old west style Nerf Gun duel between a selected player from each team.
